Thomas Heutmann has been working for the Federal Network Agency since 1992. In 2000, he took charge of the Section for International Mobile Radio Frequency Coordination and Digital Cellular Networks. From 2005 to 2011, he headed the Section for Satellite Radio Services, Short-Term Frequency Uses and Civil/Military Frequency Coordination. Since 2011, he has been Head of Section 226 (Fixed Service, Aeronautical, Radionavigation and Radiodetermination Services) This Section is also responsible for processing applications for 5G campus networks.

Application Procedure for local 5G Frequencies in the Range 3700 MHz

The Federal Network Agency in Germany provides frequencies in the range of 3700 MHz to 3800 MHz for local applications. These frequencies are intended to be used in particular for industrial automation or Industry 4.0. The presentation takes a look on the application procedure in this band and on other frequency bands to be used for campus networks.
